I was reminded of a part in “The Hunger Games” when Katniss considers abandoning the resistance against the oppressor, in exchange for “safety”. Gale’s response was telling. He said: “Safe to do what? Starve? Work like slaves? Send their kids to the reaping?”
Consider this: If a woman is being raped, things would be a lot more “peaceful” if she didn’t resist. But, asking her not to resist—just because her attacker is physically stronger—is asking her to accept her own abuse and oppression for the sake of “peace”. This is what the world is asking Palestinians to do.
And sometimes what seems to the world as just ineffective tactics, like throwing a rock at a tank, is in fact an act of resistance. It is a powerful statement to the oppressor—and the world—that they refuse to be enslaved. That dignity and self-respect are even more beloved to them than their own lives.
It is a statement that you can take their lives. But not their freedom.

No matter what sins you have committed, there is always a way to repent and start afresh! There are 4 main steps one must take to repent:
1) Stop the sin.
2) Regret deeply and truly for the sin you committed.
3) Return to Allāh [subḥānahu wa ta’āla] for forgiveness.
4) Make a strong intention never to return to that same sin again.
There is also a fifth step:
If the sin involved infringing on the rights of other people, then one must return the infringed rights back to the individual to whom they belong.
Don’t forget the special Dua for the Night of Decree:
اَللَّهُمَّ اِنَّكَ عَفُوٌّ تُـحِبُّ الْعَفْوَ فَاعْفُ عَنِّي
O Allāh, You are Most Forgiving, and You love forgiveness, so forgive me.

Technology is a blessing in disguise for the catastrophe in Palestine (and elsewhere). While the images of the children and innocents murdered by the terrorists (aka the Israeli army) move us to tears and remind us of our helplessness, they also serve to alert the broader public who do not understand the inhumanity of the Israelis who the real perpetrators are.
Muslims are spreading these images amongst themselves, but they do not understand that the average American still believes all of Hamas is (and by extension all Palestinians are) a terrorist organization, and Israel is only ‘defending itself’. This imaginary narrative perpetuated by mainstream American media stations will only be countered by hard facts - facts that images and videos brilliantly convey. It is difficult looking at the body of a baby with his brains blown out, or dead kids who were playing soccer on the beach, as ‘terrorists’ that Israel has to defend itself against.
For the first time, we are seeing the beginnings of an anti-Israeli wave, from comedians to singers to Hollywood celebrities. Politicians will be the last, because AIPAC and other pro-Israeli lobbies finance their campaigns. But even politicians will have to come around in the end (as they did for civil rights and other issues that they were themselves not keen on promoting).
Therefore once again, I urge ALL Muslims not to trivialize the role of social media. Post noteworthy news items, images, and videos on your Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Together, and with the help of Allah, we represent a more powerful force than Fox News, CNN, ABC, BBC and all the other groups combined.

We shall show them our signs in the universe and within themselves until it becomes clear to them that this is the truth. Is it not enough that your Lord is the witness of all things? (Qur’an 41:53)

A reminder to my self first and foremost
Maashallah i reading Quran, and i came across this powerful verse #sotrue
Allah says; “And you will never be able to be equal [in feeling] between wives, even if you should strive [to do so]. So do not incline completely [toward one] and leave another hanging. And if you amend [your affairs] and fear Allah - then indeed, Allah is ever Forgiving and Merciful.” [Surah An-Nisa : 129]
